Verdict

Brunette'Sonly has done well this season, winning at Lingfield and Plumpton, and has to go on the short-list here while Rateable Value often makes the frame. Notabotheronme won at Ffos Las in January but has been well beaten off higher marks since and connections clearly think he isn't putting it all in as he was tried in a visor over C&D last time and now sports blinkers. Timpo and Tarquinius were both a little disappointing last time but have the ability to figure if in the mood, though it may be worth following PANCAKE now he's got his head in front. Well regarded in his younger days when with Philip Hobbs, he was winning for the first time in three years over C&D on Easter Monday but cheekpieces clearly suit him and he is still well handicapped despite the penalty.
