      Verdict

Fast looks nothing special on breeding but Denby Dale is out of a prolific mare and is a half-brother to eight winners. Bill Turner's colt makes more appeal than the likes of Llyrical, Island Kingdom and Severnwind whose breeding suggests they'll be more at home tackling longer trips. HEDY posted a poor effort at Nottingham last month but last week's second at Bath was more like it and it could pay to stick with Mick Channon's filly in this opener.
