    Verdict

The betting suggested Matraash would return to form at Lingfield last time and he duly did so when scoring with a bit in hand. A 9lb rise may anchor him in this, however, and APRIL CIEL makes more appeal. Ron Harris' charge beat Stag Hill, James Pollard and Bold Cross over course and distance earlier this month and can go in again off a 4lb higher mark. Evergreen Forest escapes a penalty for winning an apprentice race over a shorter trip at Warwick last week but this is tougher and Gaelic Silver is preferred on his return to the Flat.
