        Verdict

        Mecado should make a bold bid to defy top weight in this back over his winning trip. Zipedeedodah won narrowly at Leicester last time under Shane Gray but has 5lb more and an extra furlong to cover today while Essaka has disappointed since a promising debut at Salisbury. KHAWAATER hasn't done much wrong since making her debut at Newmarket in May. She wasn't beaten far again at Brighton at the start of the month and, a pound lower here, heads the short-list. June's Moon looks the pick of Jonny Portman's pair and is preferred to Mylaporyours of the remainder.
