Verdict
In The Cove is penalised for last week’s victory over course and distance but Thore Hammer Hansen’s claim takes care of the extra. He must have every chance of a quick follow-up, though Mad Endeavour was just beaten in a blanket finish over 6f here two weeks ago and could be suited by a first run over this trip in six years. INNER CIRCLE won twice last year racing off a higher mark and there was nothing wrong with his comeback second at Yarmouth so Mark Loughnane’s four-year-old gets the nod.
