JETOILE belied odds of 80/1 when only beaten just over a length at the opening Cheltenham meeting of the season and will be hard to beat if proving there was no fluke about the performance. He also showed promise in the pointing sphere and gets the vote over Gauloise. The Samum gelding ran well in two maiden hurdles for Shark Hanlon in Ireland and now has a first start for the champion trainer following wind surgery. He's an interesting newcomer for the Nicholls yard and is a live danger. Welsby was well beaten on return from a massive 1427-day break but ran really well next time and is respected here along with Manothepeople.
