Verdict
VALENTINO has only had six starts so should have scope for progression for the Du Plessis team. He's relished the combination of good ground and a step-up to three miles and over, so should be comfortable enough under forecast conditions and still looks feasibly treated despite a rise of 13lb for those autumnal successes. Mr Washington has every chance if in anything like last year's form when landing a four-timer but this is a first start since February and he's 18lb higher than for the first of those wins. Getmegold will be all the better for his reappearance after a 317-day break, with stable companion Sixty Dollars More, also well worthy of consideration.
