Verdict

St Andrews is interesting in first-time tongue tie and cheekpieces but does remain winless and TOBOUGGALOO is taken to follow up a recent course and distance success just six days ago under today's pilot. He benefited from a confident hold-up ride on that occasion and presumably the combination will seek to employ similar tactics in this smaller field. He has every right to be on the upgrade after just seven starts on Turf. Pour L'amour ran his best race on Turf by far the last day and rates a clear threat with conditions to suit and off an unchanged mark and Charlie Bennnett has impressed in the saddle of late. Ocean Gale and Arthur's Gale both need to improve and are preferred in that order.
