In depth

TIMI ROLI has to concede weight all round but should be capable of doing so. He produced an impressive all-the-way victory at Tipperary a fortnight ago and though that was over 2m4f he was always travelling supremely well. His stable companion Royal Hawk had been racing over fences in France and that's where his future lies though he had the pace to win over hurdles at this trip at Cork before finding Twobeelucky too strong at Bellewstown. Le Richebourg looks a big threat after a very easy debut victory over timber here in May where he was always going well but the remaining pair look to have a bit to do.

Timi Roli (FR) 13-8fav (11-12) Led, increased advantage before 2 out where not fluent, stayed on well, easily, won at Tipperary 2m 4f mdn gd in Jul beating An'ball (11-4) by 11l, 20 ran.

Le Richebourg (FR) 15-8fav (11-2) Prominent, 2nd before 5th, travelling smoothly straight, challenged 3 out, led 2 out, soon asserted, stayed on well run-in, easily, won at Killarney 2m 1f mdn gd in May beating High School Days (11-0) by 12l, 18 ran.

Royal Hawk (FR) 8-11fav (11-6) Chased leaders, 3rd halfway, ridden before 2 out, stayed on to challenge after 2 out, no extra in 2nd last, kept on same pace, 2nd of 7, 7 1/2l behind Twobeelucky (11-6) at Bellewstown 2m 1f gd in Jul.

Vinnie Luck (IRE) 4-1 (11-1) Led early, headed 2nd, ridden in 2nd 3 out, soon weakened, trailing straight, 6th of 8, dist behind Tellthemnuttin (11-3) at Wexford 3m sft in Apr.

Lambs Lane (IRE) 50-1 (11-12) Always towards rear, never a factor, no threat from 3 out, 14th of 17, dist behind Uradel (11-12) at Listowel 2m mdn Yielding in Jun.
