Verdict
Horses from the point-to-point game do not surprisingly have a great record in bumpers so Withybrook Lass is probably best watched and preference is for Bob Bob Bobbin, who gets the vote over Wellpict One. The last mentioned represents the stable of Nigel Twiston-Davies that has been mopping up similar contests of late and the son of Taipan clearly has to be respected on his debut. Nick Gifford's Dusky Lord showed enough on his only start last term at Fontwell to suggest that he could be found a race in this grade, while Tom George's Swifts Hill appeal son pedigree being a son of Executive Perk. However, it will take a good one to beat Bob Bob Bobbin who is hard to oppose. Colin Tizzard's gelding made an encouraging debut when chasing home the useful Noplanofaction at Chepstow Christmas meeting before finishing a creditable fourth in a Grade 2 race at Newbury that has worked out well. A reproduction of either of those efforts should suffice for Bob Bob Bobbin, who is the selection.
