Verdict

Richard Johnson made all on SOLSTICE STAR over track and trip last month and keeps the winning partnership intact. His mount was tiring at the finish but that was his first start since May and he can go in again raised only 3lb. Holdbacktheriver won at at Exeter when last seen in action but has a 12lb hike to contend with while both Smart Boy and Steel Bob won their penultimate starts with the latter preferred on his reappearance now handicapping for the first time. Chloe’s Court remains unexposed and makes more appeal than For Carmel, who won a chase at Newton Abbot in April.
