In depth
Verdict
HILL SIXTEEN went for £100,000 after landing a point at Dromahane in April and made a very encouraging debut over timber at Carlisle where he led for a long way. Stoney Rover had shown ability between the flags and wasn't beaten far behind the long odds-on Scheu Time at Ayr and though flattered by the proximity to the winner had the remainder well beaten. Miss Batten, a half-sister to Shotgun Paddy, won very easily on her debut between the flags at Necarne in May and is one to watch out for while Enfin Phil has his first run in the UK after landing a minor race at Vichy in September for which he's penalised.
