Verdict
The grade of the race says a lot about the ability of this bunch and not too many can be fancied with any real confidence. Wellie is an obvious selection and should go well if he runs up to the form of his latest outing at Hereford earlier in the month. However, it is worth bearing in mind that he is still a maiden after 23 starts before going in too heavily on him. Therefore Foxies Lad is just preferred after a series of decent performances in low-grade affairs. Anthony Honeball's 5lb claim should make his task a little easier and he can finally add to his Wincanton success from 2001. Thunderpoint and Little Tuska have the best place claims of the rest
