In depth

Verdict

Plenty of runners here but ALMOGHARED will attract support after a promising run on heavy ground at Salisbury where he ran green and had no answer when Billy Ray went past at the furlong pole. He'll have come on a bundle for the experience and an entry in the Queen's vase suggests he's well regarded. The five-year-old Smashed hasn't run since his debut in September 2016 but wouldn't have been kept in the yard without good reason and should be capable of better. Kings Inn was bought for hurdling after his debut on the Flat at Killarney last August but hasn't shown much aptitude for jumping. Podemos is bred for middle-distances so stepping up to this trip should be ideal and he didn't enjoy the heavy ground at Leicester on his return to action.
