Verdict

CARLICUE can take top honours here on his debut for Paul Nicholls. A winner between the flags at Dromohane, this King's Theatre gelding should relish this test of stamina given his mother stayed very well. No Tears wasn't out of things when falling at Hereford in March and this fellow point-to-point recruit is respected, whilst Bobbie Magern has the best hurdling form on offer and he is out of the same mould as his brothers Ollie and Billie. Bens Moor was picked up for £75,000 in January and he got the job done in a Folkestone bumper two months ago; better is to come. Elsewhere Double Chocolate and Sir Mattie, both having their first runs of the season, are not discounted blindly.
