Verdict
MIck Channon's pair Erte and Cannon Fire can prevail here ahead of Ed Dunlop's duo Golden Grace and Mutafanen with slight preference given to Erte. The selection ran well on his debut when leading home the unfavoured near side group in a decent Newmarket maiden earlier this month. Expected to improve on that effort he should take all the beating. Stablemate Cannon Fire has shown promise on both his two starts to date and progress can be expected over this longer trip. Golden Grace is related to the smart middle-distance handicapper Beekeeper but is expected to need this racecourse debut before showing better form later in the season. The main danger to the selection should be Mutafanen who showed promise in a big field Newmarket maiden on his latest start and looks the stable number one. However Erte should be able to prevail in what remains a tricky race to solve.
