Verdict

Mister Musicmaster hasn’t won since landing last year’s renewal but is now back on a winning mark whereas Gold Hunter is upped in class and raised 8lb after winning over 7f here. Misu Pete escapes a penalty having won an apprentices race over 7f at Newbury but Fitzrovia’s earlier double came in soft going. Freckles was a big disappointment at Bath having won at the same track earlier, though Amor Fati has a shout on his recent second over track and trip. But GLORIOUS JEM ran well for a long way over 1m2f at Leicester on his reappearance and handicap debut. Today’s shorter trip and first-time headgear are fancied to bring improvement and he gets a speculative vote.
