In depth

Verdict

A novice race packed with potential. Timeforatune won his first three races in bumpers last season, including a Listed contest at Cheltenham. But he was more than six lengths behind HULLNBACK at Newbury in February and Fergal O’Brien’s charge, who has had a wind operation since, can confirm the form as the pair switch to hurdles having missed a race at Cheltenham last Friday on account of the ground. Pikar has valuable hurdling experience and was highly tried last season and there are several others who should be winning over timber in the months ahead. Master Chewy is one and Butch is another while Tik Tok was sent off favourite for a bumper at Sedgefield in March. Sonification impressed here in April and Lipa K has switched to Evan Williams having scored at Killarney in May.
