    In depth

    Verdict

Mascat has placed in small fields at Newton Abbot and Fontwell but needs to brush up his jumping. Ridgeway is penalised for winning at Kempton but has scope and few miles on the clock. Ballybreeze, Mister Marbles and BALLYBLACK are all making their debuts over fences. The latter has already won a point and a maiden hurdle and is fancied to go well here, despite top weight.
