Potentiale can end a run of seconditis, with Pelham Crescent, Sweet Request and Speagle seen as the main dangers. Potentiale has run four good races since going handicapping, but for one reason or another, cannot seem to get his head in front. He hung left in the closing stages of an apprentice event at Newcastle 19-days ago, and now benefits from the assistance of Ryan Moore in the saddle. That should make a difference, and he is the one to beat. All-weather winner Pelham Crescent is well handicapped on form of old so should make a bold play for the frame, while Sweet Request, not beaten far in fourth in a fillies' handicap at Newbury, can also be added to the list. Speagle will do well to defy topweight, but lower down, the likes of Ermine Grey and Trevian command some respect. Potentiale has a good opportunity though, and should take it.
