Verdict

Oneupmanship was only beaten a head at Uttoxeter while Java Point started favourite at Southwell last month when making his debut under Rules and should be more at home on this more galloping track. But the vote goes to JEREMY PASS as Paul Nicholls farms bumpers around here and won this last year. His charge looked to be cantering all over his rivals at Newcastle last month but a bump in the closing stages appeared to knock him out of stride. He should make amends today with a trouble-free passage. Malinello is preferred to stablemate Little Red Devil and fellow newcomer Wildfire Warrior with The Rosary Flyer also worth a market check.
