In depth

Verdict

Merry Secret showed a big improvement when fourth at Windsor last time but BODAK YELLOW will likely prove popular in this. Inexperience got the better of him at Wolverhampton on his debut but he caught the eye finishing strongly for second once the penny had dropped - Dave Loughnane’s colt can go one better. Spanish Colt and Proclaimed can only improve but a newcomer may prove a bigger threat with Solent Gateway, Free Dancer and Rogue Nation all related to winners and the latter preferred as a half-brother to prolific sprinter Dark Emerald.
