Verdict

Berkshire Rebel was last of three behind two smart Godolphin performers at Newbury and the latter's representative here, New London, will be looking to enhance his Derby prospects after completing a Newmarket double in very good style last month. He faces stronger opposition here, however, with easy Pontefract winner Dillian finding testing ground against him in a Group 1 at Saint-Cloud. CHANGINGOFTHEGUARD was beaten in three one-mile maidens last summer but relished the longer trip at Dundalk. This is tougher but he can take the step-up in his stride.
