        Verdict

        A difficult race for punters with many of the leading fancies given an unfavourable draw. Evangelist may not be the smartest animal to come out of Alan Berry' s Cockerham stables but she is nothing but game and having run creditably at the track on an earlier racecourse appearance, she is taken to go well again if handling the surface.Miss Takeortwo heads for a three-timer today. She has done nothing wrong over the minimum trip but she is poorly drawn in stall eight. Desert Spirit looked to have improved significantly for the gelding operation. He needs it fast and may well be withdrawn if there is any further moisture. David Evans often saddles winners at Chester but his pair look opposable here despite favourable draws.
