Verdict
A return to Chester might spur STAR ROVER back into action and he gets the nod here ahead of Duchess Dora and Falasteen in a competitive heat. David Evans' son of Camacho is a speedy fellow and showed up really well for a long way in the Palace House Stakes last week. He has his sights lowered today and off a feasible mark of 100 he should run well. Duchess Dora has the plum draw in stall one and was a solid winner at Sandown on her reappearance; she is a very strong traveller so could do with a nice lead in the race and this progressive daughter of Tagula is hard to ignore. Archers Road hasn't been with the yard for long but is held by the selection on a form line through Mister Manannan, Falasteen is a course and distance winner and showed that he has trained on with a Leicester victory, whilst Secret Millionaire is only trained just down the road and therefore should not be discounted dropping in grade. Tim Easterby has his horses in rude health so Confessional is shortlist material, along with Diman Waters who broke his maiden tag last time and may now be a different horse. His stable won this race last year, however with a 7lb rise in the weights in a better race we can take him on with Star Rover.
