In depth
Verdict
Charley Bates is quite capable of taking this, but you cannot guarantee him putting his best foot forward. Face The Limelight comes into this on the back of a solid run at Bath last time, and although this is a better race, he should run well. Kristensen improved for the step up in trip last time and may be capable of further improvement, but stablemate Lingo looks the one. He absolutely trotted up at Pontefract last time and turns out here under a penalty. He will have more to do in future handicaps.
