Verdict
Yenaled, runner-up at Chester three times in as many visits, is selected to finally end his hoodoo, with Rani Two, Aleron and Opening Ceremony just three lively dangers in a competitive handicap. The draw will no doubt prove crucial again here, and the likes of Compton Dragon, War Owl and Summer Bounty are all drawn on the outside of the selection who himself has not got a perfect pitch in stall 12. However, he has been unlucky here in the past, most recently last month when just edged out by Shape Up. Prior to that he had rattled up two wins and is not badly treated despite a five-pound rise. He can meet Rani Two on 10lb better terms for the length and three-quarters that separated them here last year so should certainly finish in front of Mark Brisbourne's charge. Trainer John Quinn has big plans for Aleron who is set to go jumping in the hope that he may prove good enough to line up at Cheltenham next March. Before then though it is hoped that he can add another victory or two to his Flat tally. He will not mind the cut in the ground and can give the selection most to do. Giunchiglio has more to do than when third in a claimer here but at least is well-drawn, but for the winner we like the look of Yenaled who deserves to finally conquer the Roodeye.
