    Verdict

HAMISH goes well fresh and won this last year. He was surprisingly turned over by Max Vega in a Group 3 at Newbury in the autumn but was a bit unlucky that day and is expected to have his revenge even though the latter has had a run this year, finishing third in the John Porter when ahead of the disappointing Lone Eagle. The lack of a recent outing won’t be a concern for Changingoftheguard, who won the Chester Vase at this meeting last year and was later successful in the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot, but Israr steps out of handicap company on his return to action.
