Verdict

Wing Play won well on the Polytrack at Lingfield last month and represents the yard of Hugh Morrison that is in good form but he has been done few favours with a draw in stall 10 and a better option looks to be DISTINCTIVE IMAGE, who gets the vote with Theocritus rated the best of the rest. The selection is less exposed than his opponents after just nine career starts and has been running well on the Polytrack. Lightly raced on turf, Reg Hollinshead's colt has been given a chance by the handicapper and could not be better drawn being berthed in stall one. Mujadel is similarly well drawn and the David Nicholls-trained gelding has every chance on the evidence of recent fair efforts but he is yet to prove that he stays this far. I'm In The Pink has been running to a consistent level of form for David Evans of late and can race off the same mark as when second over course and distance last month. He should be thereabouts again as should Willie Muir's recent Folkestone winner Mick's Dancer, although a 5lb higher mark today makes this more difficult. David Simcock's Theocritus has been plying his trade successfully in sellers and claimers of late and has solid claims back in a handicap off what seems a fair mark but marginal preference is for Distinctive Image, who is taken to make the most of his good draw.
