In depth

Verdict

MAORI KNIGHT took advantage of last year’s slide down the weights when making a winning reappearance at Chelmsford. That was his first start gelded and he can confirm running with Arctic Vega. The latter returned a disappointing favourite on that occasion but has subsequently gone close at Windsor while there was cut in the ground when Hot Team won at Hamilton earlier. The latter’s stablemate Gabrial The One and Heart Of Soul and are course regulars but Mr Coco Bean is preferred over today’s trip.
