Verdict
A small but competitive field goes to post for this conditions stakes and most of the runners would have a chance on their best form. However the main protagonists appear to be Monsieur Bond, Naahy and Sir Edwin Landseer and we will take a chance on Naahy. The colt from the Mick Channon yard had been in good form prior to disappointing at Royal Ascot. He will find this much smaller field to his liking and with the ground and course sure to suit he is taken to make all in the hands of Sam Hitchcott. Monsieur Bond rates the main danger he was hampered at Royal Ascot when 10th behind Zafeen last time when he still had every chance. However his best form to date has been over six furlongs and he has still to conclusively prove he stays this trip. Sir Edwin Landseer was a fair two year old but he has not progressed as expected so far this season so for that reason he is over looked on this occasion the remainder Patsy's Double is another that could go well from a plot draw with conditions in his favour. Halmahera best efforts usually come in much bigger fields.
