Verdict
GOSSIP COLUMN won twice around here last summer and returned to winning ways at York last month for which a 3lb rise may not be enough to prevent a follow-up. Mugatoo didn't enjoy soft ground at Goodwood but had earlier scored with a ton in hand over 1m6f at Doncaster and looks a progressive stayer. This track isn't certain to suit Vivid Diamond, whose narrow defeat in a Newmarket Listed contest in November would see her very difficult to beat though she was well beaten on her only start around here. Infrastructure has been running in better class handicaps since scoring at this level at Salisbury last summer and ran well at Newmarket last month on his first start since September. Lunar Jet scored over 1m2f at Newmarket in May and should get the trip on this tight track.
