    Verdict

Alignak finished half-a-length ahead of MORANDO at Newbury four weeks ago but Andrew Balding’s grey, winner of the Ormonde Stakes here last year, can reverse that form today as he still looked short of peak fitness at the Berkshire track. Hereby also won over course and distance last year in the midst of a four-timer and she hasn’t done a lot wrong in two runs this season while Universal Order won in this grade at Newmarket in June, though has a penalty to carry and may find the today’s going against him. Time Voyage has a mountain to climb on these terms.
