Verdict

Dhaular Dhar won his maiden here as a two-year-old when with Barry Hills but has not progressed as much as anticipated since then and despite showing his best form since joining Jim Goldie last time looks worth taking on with preference for Into The Breeze over Lord of The East. The last mentioned, like Dhaular Dhar, showed his best form for some time on his most recent start and has to be considered on that evidence especially from stall two. Roman Maze has the worst of the draw in box 15 and even over this trip that is a worry, while Kingscross could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Breaking Shadow should do better now that he is returned to seven furlongs and has to be considered along with Mutawaffer, who is entitled to come on for his reappearance run. John Hills has his string in good form now though and it looks significant that Barry Hills pulled out his five-day entry for this race, allowing son Michael to take the ride on his brother's horse who looks to be going the right way.
