      Verdict

Turner has the undoubted assistance of Nina Carberry in the saddle but has been done few favours with a draw in stall 12, while Acuzio has not faired much better berthed in box 10 and preference is for Desperation. The selection returns to turf on a fair mark in comparison to his all-weather rating and could be good enough on a surface that he handles and from a decent draw. Court of Appeal has more to do than when landing an uncompetitive claimer last week and of more interest may be Mark Brisbourne's York Cliff, who is consistent but lacks pace in the finish. Stablemate Wood Fern is hard to win with, while another Brisbourne runner Hillhall and Dayoff remain maidens. A market move for Golden Boot would be of interest but Desperation holds solid claims and is taken to resume winning ways back on turf.
