        Verdict

        Plenty with claims in this with a tentative vote going to SKY SHIP. He’ll need to improve on his recent third over track and trip but has plenty of scope to do so. Destroyer finished a couple of lengths ahead of Short Work when scoring at Sandown and is upped 4lb while Penwortham has been raised 6lb for his recent success at Goodwood. The latter’s stablemate Gallipoli steps up from 6f along with Dawaa while Lagenda went close over today’s distance at Haydock. Arcanada won a maiden here last year and ran well in the Britannia at Ascot last time.
