In depth

Verdict

Testing conditions may not suit newcomers Father Mckenzie and Handful while neither LOGI nor On Her Toes have raced on soft ground. But Jimmy Fortune’s mount is the most experienced of these with his fifth place behind Prince Of Lir at Beverley easily the best form as the 1-2 occupied the same positions in last week's Norfolk Stakes. He came up against a stablemate at Chepstow last time and might have found the fast ground against him so gets the nod to finally come good. On Her Toes made a highly encouraging debut on fast going at Yarmouth and, if handling the conditions, has to be a threat while Latest Quest didn't appear suited by front-running over 5f at Goodwood.
