      Verdict

      DARK SHOT has produced several cracking efforts and it's a surprise he hasn't won but this looks his opportunity. He's only ever raced at 6f and almost made all here earlier this month - he will have no problems with the going. K'gari Spirit made a bright start at Wolverhampton in December and started odds-on for a three-horse race at Lingfield the following month but was well beaten by Pink Martini, though the winner has won subsequently. It's difficult to get excited about the remainder but Blue Silk may do better in time.
