        Verdict

        Velox came up against a decent sort at Newmarket earlier this month having narrowly failed to score at Haydock previously. He has to go on the short-list while Ningara never seems to run a bad race and was just touched off at Newmarket last time having beaten Sadiq a length-and-a-quarter at Sandown previously. But the Godolphin gelding is 5lb better off here and now wears a visor so must have every chance of turning the tables. Saeed bin Suroor also saddles the unexposed Mulakim while Rocket Ronnie and Topamichi are at the top of their game, but take on better opposition today. Yarroom should put up a bold display under top weight but PHAENOMENA started to repay some of her inflated purchase price when winning a Newbury maiden at the start of the month. She makes her handicap debut off a decent mark and can score again.
