In depth

Verdict

Killdunne has done better on his two most recent starts and will get a good ride from regular pilot Paddy Kennedy but DOWD'S ANGLE can gain compensation for an unfortunate run last time. He gave Matt Bowes a difficult ride when veering left at several obstacles at Kilbeggan and his rider also lost an iron in the process. But he ran on very strongly from the last and his overall form should be good enough. Playtime Ben looks a big threat as he stepped up to 2m6f at Kilbeggan and led for a long way until finding the last couple of furlongs too much to handle. He's progressing nicely and with this trip certain to suit looks the main threat. Kingclip has shown promise in bumpers and should make a hurdler and Stop Road Lad ran his best race to date behind Rodriguez at Kilbeggan last month.
