Experimentalist was only beaten half-a-length at Down Royal on his second start over timber but didn't build on that when favourite at Punchestown next time. Bad Cigar also ran poorly at Cork last time after a fine run at Punchestown and we prefer the less-exposed BAT MASTERSON. Noel Meade's gelding produced a better effort when third at Navan last month, despite making mistakes. If he can eradicate those errors, he should be capable of winning a race like this. Willie Mullins' French import Ut De Sivola was placed in a bumper at Vichy in May but may need this and more interesting is Tobar Na Gaoise, who was lightly raced on the Flat but beat the smart Unaccompanied over 1m2f at Leopardstown last month and should stay this trip.
