Verdict

Afatcat is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and he's also won over fences here. He'll enjoy the conditions and should go well now back over timber. Whiskey No Ice had shown potential before easily landing a Galway maiden on quick ground in September and doesn't look badly treated for his handicap debut. Luimneach Abu has won twice in 36 starts, both on very fast ground, though he was a long way behind Eric The Third at Kilbeggan in September. The latter hasn't run since completing a double at Tramore a month later but, with conditions in his favour and plenty of scope for improvement, he should make a bold bid to complete a hat-trick. The four-year-old WALKABOUT made a couple of novice errors in a Kilbeggan handicap last week that cost him the race. With a better round of jumping he can go one better as he holds Wither Hills on that run. Dixie Highway ran easily his best race to date at KIlbeggan last month and collateral form with the winner Flaviana puts him close to the selection.
