Verdict

Fever Pitch won this a year ago for J P McManus but he also has ELEGANT STATESMAN engaged here and he's the choice of Barry Geraghty. The eight-year-old is by no means consistent and was never travelling at Navan last time but he'd earlier beaten his stablemate Never Complain into second at Down Royal and should take this if on one of his going days. Ibetellingyoualie returned from a long absence to post two strong efforts here in February before scoring at Navan. He was well beaten in two starts in the spring but in better company and rates a big threat. Kilcrea won in very testing ground at Thurles in January and his chances would increase with further rain.
