In depth

Verdict

PORT STANLEY (NAP) has earned a rating of 134 which should be enough to land a race of this nature. His two placed efforts at Fairyhouse at the turn of the year were fine efforts before finishing mid-division in a lucrative Leopardstown handicap in February. Rocket Lad, a winning bumper and hurdler, has failed to fire over fences so far but looks the type to improve as does The Very Man, four-times a winner over timber including at Listed level and better for a chasing debut at Leopardstown. Bread And Butter was in fine form over hurdles last summer and was nowhere near his best on his final start at Punchestown while the selection's stable companion Madison To Monroe, a winner between the flags, should now do better with a run over fences under his belt.
