Verdict
The Names Jock is the only course winner though that was over a shorter trip but most of these have won over the distance. Johnny Murtagh is in brilliant form and two recent winners, Mirann, who made a successful debut for the yard at Gowran after arriving from France, and Pearl Warrior, three times a winner over the trip and still progressing, looking likely candidates. Melburnian was in fine form when the ground turned soft last autumn and will have been primed for this along with stable companion TUDOR CITY, last year's Galway Hurdle winner who remains on a lenient mark on the Flat and could be good enough. Charcor couldn't concede weight to Patrick Sarsfield at Leopardstown but that was no disgrace while any further rain would be to the advantage of Takarengo, who completed a double on testing ground in the autumn.
