In depth

Verdict

It appears that A Step Too Far isn't well named as she keeps on defying the handicapper, though all four victories have come over the minimum and she's been raised 8lb for last week's Navan success. Goodnight Girl, three-times a winner in the UK, was having just her second run for Sarah Lynam when a close fourth in a strong 5f handicap here last month and should improve while Assurance got on the scoresheet with a battling victory over a mile here a week ago where she made all. Allez Sophia, a winner at Bath a year ago when trained in the UK, made her debut for Paddy Twomey in an Ayr Listed contest in June and wasn't disgraced but the vote goes to ACQUIESCENT, a maiden winner at Fairyhouse in June and beaten a short-head by track specialist Geological at Dundalk last month
