Verdict

It's unlikely that PATANNE will be considered a stable star but he undoubtedly has ability and this should prove within his capabilities as he won't run into one as good as Some Tikket, who beat him at Navan last time. The Buddy Pass made a bright start when runner-up at Kilbeggan in August but ran poorly on quicker ground there a couple of weeks later and may have been feeling the effects. Winning point-to-pointer Bar Stool Bob looked as though a longer trip would be required after a decent run over 2m4f at Fairyhouse so a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of newcomer The Game Changer, a half-brother to the useful Johns Spirit.
