Verdict

A cracking race in prospect. Draycott Place is the only course and distance winner and has won from a higher mark. He looked like winning when tackling 2m2f at Galway last time when leading at the last but was swamped in the closing stages by PENNY JANE and Gentleman Duke. The former, who will be 8lb worse off, was having her first start in a year and had to be switched before powering home and looks a very nice prospect for handicapping. Eight Till Late has amassed nine victories though only two over fences. He was receiving 4lb when caught in the closing stages by Lake Takapuna over an extended 2m1f at Sligo and though worse off at the weights will be better suited by the shorter trip. The selection's stable companion Sunsetstorise has done better on testing ground and like Three Stars could need this after a break since April. The latter's stable companion Our Dougal has been beaten off lower marks in his last five starts in handicaps.
