In depth

Verdict

BASEMAN couldn't quite get past the odds-on Toshizou at Tipperary but with normal progress will take some beating. That winner is trained by Joseph O'Brien, who has Champion Green and the newcomer Ratib entered here and the former ran well after a tardy start in the race won by Ones Are Wild at Gowran. Donnacha trains that winner and has Emporio engaged here and he's produced very good runs at Naas and Navan. Aidan O'Brien has three entered with Seamie Hefferenan choosing Arturo Toscanini, a son of Galileo out of a 6f/7f winner though neither Sir Lamorak nor The Mediterranean can be dismissed.
