In depth

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien runs four here with jockey bookings suggesting that Long Live The King is the stable pick though potential punters will need to forgive a poor effort at Gowran last time when long odds-on and only fifth behind Adilapour with today's rival Dubawi Star, who must be considered, in front. It would be no shock to see Apache, a son of Galileo and a half-brother to Cheshire Oaks winner Perfect Truth, prove best of the Ballydoyle quartet and Joseph O'Brien has been riding plenty of winners for them recently. Rossvoss had no chance behind Casamento here last time but has shown ability and Back Cover will improve for his opening run behind Obligation at Tipperary when stablemate Naaseh was behind. GIANTS SERAPIS attracted some support in the market before finishing third behind Hurricane Havoc at Roscommon. The winner is thought good enough to run in the Listed race earlier so the form could be good enough for Kevin Prendergast's charge to take this.
